Kaanapali Beach

Kaanapali Beach

The Whaler is located right on Kaanapali Beach, recently voted the #2 best beach in the US by Trip Advisor. A long promenade along this beach connects all of the hotels in the Kaanapali Beach resort area. Black Rock is located at the north end and offers some of the best snorkeling to be found anywhere.

Airport Beach

Airport Beach

Located on the north end of Kaanapali Beach, Airport Beach is a local favorite. Leaving Kaanapali Beach resort, turn left onto Hwy 30 north to the next stop light. Turn left at Kai Ala Drive and stay right to park in the large lot. This beach has a large grassy lawn, covered picnic tables, restrooms, barbecue pits and beach showers. Walk south along this beach to access the back side of Black Rock.

Napili Bay

Napili Bay

Napili Bay - Take the Lower Road north and look for the Napili Shores condominium on the ocean side of the road. Limited parking is available in their lot or along the road. This large crescent of sand is a popular spot for families.

Big Beach

Big Beach

One of the most outstanding beaches in Maui. Big Beach is well over a half a mile long, and is also uncharacteristically wide by Maui standards. That means loads of real estate to stake out your claim, and this beach, while always drawing lots of people is never so crowded as to be packed.
Location: Makena
Baby Beach

Baby Beach

Located off Front Street in Lahaina (behind Safeway), this spot is a docile tidepool of warm water that is perfect for little ones. A protective reef located far offshore protects this area from any shorebreak. Leaving Kaanapali, head south toward Lahaina. Turn right at Safeway and then left onto Front Street. Cross over the water canal and take the 2nd right. Parking is available along the residential street. Be mindful not to block any driveways.
